Who We Are

Our History

Christian Life Center was started with a church planting team on May 8, 1994, which began to meet in the Williamsburg Library Theater for a nine month period.  In February 1995, we moved into a warehouse behind Ewell Station Shopping Plaza.  There the Holy Spirit blessed us with new measures in our personal connection with God.  The church quickly quadrupled and began to have great impact on the youth of our city.  In February 1998, we moved to a location on Richmond Road while we continued to grow and expand our ministry to the community and those hungry for God.

In the spring of 2000 we moved to our present 16-acre property on Longhill Road.  God has blessed our church with relevant ministries for children and youth, great outreaches to the campus of William & Mary and the Latino community, passionate worship and dynamic Bible teaching.  We thank God for our rich heritage, but we believe the best is yet to come for our church and city.

In the Fall of 2011, Pastor Tom Wells announced the final stages of a transition at the Lead Pastor position with Pastors Christoph and Tonya Fehrenbach filling that role. In May 2012, that transition was completed with a celebration of the church’s 18th Anniversary: honoring the Wells and setting in the Fehrenbachs. In December of 2013, the church set in and prayed over new elders to help guide and direct the church along with the Fehrenbachs.

While the church is pleased with and humbled by the ways God has used them in the past, they are passionately expecting and pressing into a great future of loving Jesus and giving His life to all people because it only gets better.

Our Mission & Vision

Mission: Christian Life Center exists to establish and grow a Christ-centered local church that gives life to the world.

Vision: Loving God. Giving Life.

Our Values

Our mission and vision help us to set our sights which give us direction and an ability to choose purposeful actions. Because we aim to love God and give His life to the world, that causes us to have certain values.

1. We value life in Jesus.

We find Jesus to be the sole proprietor and giver of life in all areas of existence and circumstance. (Luke 19:10; John 10:10; Colossians 1:19-22)

2. We value life with each other.

We find there is a deposit of God in each and every individual: lost or found, and we believe in order to live the life God has intended for us to live, we need to be in relationship. (Mark 12:28-34; John 13:35; Acts 2:42-47)

3. We value life for others.

We find ability in each and every person to reach out and be a blessing. We see that lifestyle as necessary for people to come to maturity in Christ. (Mark 12:28-34; Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4 & 5)
